In the end we found some good riding and had quality time for conversation and reflection… I feel like it’s pretty rare when your imagination and reality lines up so clearly. We covered a lot of ground wandering the wilderness, it was a unique experience, days spent ascending and descending, setting up and breaking down camp, studying lines in the moonlight, welcoming the sunrise and following it’s light down valleys until the last line was lost in the shadows as the sun sank in the west. We set out with no lofty goals or exact route allowing us a chance to enjoy the excitement of discovery and figure things out along the way.

It’s such an honor to connect and spend time with Jeremy and Travis in the mountains, I’ve had the most amazing days of my life riding with those guys and this was no exception. Looking back I feel very fortunate that it all came together… You can dream, make plans and carve out dates for a trip like this, but the weather can easily shut you down.
